Norwegian Social Studies Test Preparation Course
The Norwegian Social Studies Test Preparation Course is designed for adult immigrants who want to apply for a Norwegian citizenship.
If you want to apply for Norwegian citizenship, you must have passed the citizenship or social studies exam in Norwegian. You must also have taken the Norwegian test (Norskprøven) to prove that you have reached Norwegian oral level B1.
The goal of the Norwegian Social Studies Test Preparation Course that we offer, is to provide students with a thorough introduction to Norwegian society, the Norwegian political system, the Norwegian way of life, and every Norwegian citizen’s rights and obligations.
The Norwegian Social Studies Test Preparation Course covers topics like:
- Norway’s history
- Norway’s geography
- Family, Children, and Health in Norway
- Education and learning in Norway
- Norwegian workplace life
- Democracy and social welfare in Norway
- Day-to-day living in Norway
- Sustainability
- School and Education
We offer the course in the following languages: Norwegian, English, Russian, Arabic, French, Spanish, Chinese, German, Japanese, Korean and in Italian.
Note that the language requirement is stricter if you are applying for Norwegian citizenship. In this case, you must pass the social studies test in Norwegian (either Bokmål or Nynorsk).
